Spring and Summer 2016 Beauty Haul

Apparently, I never listen to myself because I'm pretty sure I swore that I had enough makeup to last me a whole year after my last beauty haul, yet here I am... with another big one. Now that all the damage has been done, I figured I'd just show you everything I got for spring and summer!
Silky Platinum Blonde (#613)
If you follow me on any of my social media or if you've read my recent blog posts, you already know how much love I've given these extensions. They perfectly blend with my real hair, and they're super voluminous and natural! Click here for my review and here for before-and-after shots!
Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Echo Park and Lip Pencil in Brink, Colourpop Highlighter in Pretty Bonnes, Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip and Lip Pencil in Frick & Frack
Y'all should know by now how much I love Colourpop based on my past several monthly favorites posts. Every time they have a new release especially in the lip section, I go out of my way to buy at least one of the shades. I'm sure it's no surprise that I gravitated toward these ones... I mean, what other lip colors do I even wear other than MLBB shades? I also threw in a highlighter, which I didn't realize was a satin finish, so it's not nearly as radiant as my favorite highlighter from the brand (Lunch Money).
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Golden Lights
I've actually heard of this brand and their highly acclaimed highlighters quite a while ago, but when I looked for it at Ulta at the time, they didn't have it in stores. Thankfully, it's now in their new releases section and I got to grab one of the highlighters in Golden Lights.
Wet n Wild Vegan Brushes (Powder, Contour, Crease, Large Eyeshadow Brush)
These brushes were almost too good to be true when I first heard about them, but once I actually got to play with them, they definitely didn't disappoint. The bristles are incredibly soft and the packaging is the cutest thing! They look and feel high-end, but they're all only $0.99-$2.99 which is pretty damn insane!
Limecrime Velvetines in Bleached
Since I'm slowly starting to step out of my comfort zone as far as lip colors go, I thought I'd try a brighter peachy nude. One of my favorite bloggers, Ellen V Lora, has worn this liquid lipstick a ton on her Instagram photos and it always looks absolutely stunning on her, but on me... not so much. I don't know if it's my undertone that makes this lipstick look unflattering, but whatever it is I think I'll just stick to Colourpop's Echo Park for a nude lip color. Also, the formula is definitely not one of my favorites. It's super tacky and feels like glue on my lips.
Arctic Fox Hair Dyes in Aquamarine & Purple Rain
As much as I've been loving my Pravana hair dyes, it's quite difficult to get the perfect shade of cool lavender that I want, but the combination of these two give me exactly that. These dyes also last significantly longer than Pravana, so I end up retouching my hair much less frequently.
Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
I never thought I'd spend this much on a mascara, but the infamous Better Than Sex by Too Faced just went waterproof and they had a free shipping deal on St. Patrick's Day, so I had to seize the rare opportunity.
RCMA No Color Powder
Kathleenlights, my favorite beauty guru, has raved all about this powder, so naturally I gave in and bought one for myself. It's definitely the perfect universal powder because not only is it colorless, but it also caters to any skin type.
TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shine Serum
My hair's been feeling extra dead lately because I've been applying heat quite frequently, so I needed some kind of serum to put some life back into it. This has helped restore moisture for sure without making my hair look or feel greasy and it also doubles up as a heat protectant.
NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer
As I said in my May Favorites, this primer has been quite a game-changer in my makeup routine. Now I know why most beauty vloggers never skip primer! This certainly helps keep my makeup last longer and it provides a much smoother canvas for my foundation and concealer.
Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer
I've always wanted to try this primer because it's the perfect solution for my incredibly massive pores, and I'm glad I finally got to try it out. It's easily become another new must-have in my makeup routine!
Smile Sciences Teeth Whitening Kit
I finally got around to trying out a teeth whitening kit, and thanks to Smile Sciences, I now have my very own. It has added quite a bit of time to my nighttime routine, but it's truly effective. Use my code SONJAKIT at checkout to get it for only $29 as opposed to $299!
House of Lashes (Iconic, Bambie, Featherette)
House of Lashes was such a massive game-changer for me to the point that I completely ditched mascara and went for one of these falsies every single day. These gems add quite a bit of drama to your look but they feel and look very natural at the same time. I actually ordered another set of three because I just couldn't get enough!
Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 150 Buff
I went back to searching for my perfect shade from the Revlon Colorstay line after 3 failed attempts, and while this one is undoubtedly too light for me, it's the most yellow-toned one and it's actually a great foundation to mix with the darker ones that I own.
Estée Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover in 2W2 Rattan
As I mentioned in my May 2016 favorites, I specifically bought this foundation for a studio photo shoot because all the ones I own seem to have a white cast in flash photography, so I asked the lady in the Macy's counter for recommendations and she suggested this one because it's a maximum cover formula that's perfect for photos. It's the first ever high-end foundation that I purchased for myself, so I try to use it sparingly.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Double Dare
While buying this for my friend as a birthday gift, I ended up grabbing one for myself because I just couldn't resist. I always wanna try at least one shade from virtually every brand that has a liquid lipstick line, and of course, I went for my kind of shade.
Hairburst Natural Hair Vitamins
Hairburst sent me their widely popular hair-lengthening vitamins, which I actually haven't gotten around to testing out. I'll report back in a month or two to see if it truly lengthened and strengthened my hair, so stay tuned!
Mr. Blanc Teeth Whitening Strips
Along with the pills, the company sent me some whitening strips and a facetox mask (pictured below). These strips are so much more convenient and user-friendly than a gel, so I've been using it quite a lot in my nighttime routine.
Facetox Aztec Healing Clay Mask
I've never done a facetox before but this box certainly upped my skin care game. It's an organic mask where you mix the facetox blend with rose water. Each mixture has lasted me at least 3 sessions so far, so I'll definitely get a lot of use out this whole box!
Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm
Colleen Rothschild sent me a couple of their best sellers to try out, and this one's definitely my top pick. It makes it so much easier to remove my makeup, which is usually such a chore to me and certainly not my favorite part of the day.
Influenster Bloom Vox Box
I received Influenster's Bloom Vox Box about two months ago and it was filled with spring essentials that I've been loving especially for traveling.
Kiss® 100ct Full-Cover Short Square Nails
I've been all about false nails lately because I'm too lazy to grow out my real nails and my nail polishes always chip off within a week. These ones are super natural-looking and for some reason, any nail polish I use never chips off. The set comes with 100 pieces, which I'm sure will last me a very long time.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator
I was beyond excited when I was chosen as one of the bloggers to review this incredible product that was just released. The pigmentation and formula is unreal that it instantly became one of my all-time favorite highlighters!
Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in Wisp, Ultra Satin Lips in Echo Park & Dohee, Matte X Lippie Stix in Jenneration X, Brow Colour in Dope Taupe
Jenn Im has been one of my favorite fashion gurus since day 1, and when I saw that she came out with a whole collection with Colourpop, I had to show my love and support by purchasing some goodies. I didn't buy the eyeshadow quad because I feel like the formula of Colourpop eyeshadows is too mousse-like for me to work with, so I just got these lippies that couldn't be more perfect for the warmer seasons. I also got a highlighter in Wisp and an eyebrow gel in Dope Taupe, which aren't part of her collection but I've been wanting to try them for quite some time now. I stocked up on my favorite lippie of all time as well (Ultra Satin Lip in Echo Park) because it's all I've been wearing these past few months!
Wet n Wild Picture Perfect Setting Spray
I finally got myself to purchase a setting spray because apparently, it makes a world of a difference in making your makeup last. I went for a super inexpensive yet good-quality one since it's my first setting spray, and so far so good!
Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream in Light
Covergirl recently came out with a matte BB cream and it's actually perfect timing because I've been looking for lightweight, natural-looking foundations to wear for those scorching summer days. All of my foundations are full-coverage which can look too cakey or mask-like at times, so I really needed something that will simply even out my complexion but at the same time keep it matte.
NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Ruffle Trim
Since I'm starting to venture out more into neutral shades other than muted reds, I thought I'd purchase another lippie from a drugstore collection that specifically features nude varieties. I'm still not into the ones that look like concealer on my lips, so I chose one with a hint of color, kind of like a true "my lips but better" look.
NYX Tres Jolie Gel Pencil Liner in Pitch Black
I've heard Kathleenlights rave on and on about this eyeliner, so I finally got myself to purchase it. Tight-lining is one of the most essential parts of my makeup routine, so this will surely be well-loved in the next few months.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
The Real Techniques Complexion Sponge has always been one of my favorite tools to apply foundation, and it was about time for me to stock up since my current sponge is starting to wear down. Ulta had a buy 1 get 1 50% off, so I got two for under $11!
House of Lashes Lash Story and Boudoir 3pk
As I said earlier, I made another order because I honestly couldn't get enough of these falsies. While Featherette is my absolutely favorite for everyday wear, I wanted to try out another style that a lot of people seem to love. I also went ahead and ordered one of their super cute lash containers, which I'm sure will be filled with House of Lashes falsies in no time.
L'Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation in 205 Natural Beige
L'Oreal came out with a "pro-glow" version, which is something I would've never gravitated towards because I've always been all about matte foundations, but when I heard about other bloggers with oily skin raving about this product, I thought I should give it a try since I was looking for that perfect glowy foundation for the summer.
Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso
Just about every beauty guru I've watched has raved about this blush, so I finally got a hold of it and I must say that it truly is stunning. I typically go for matte blushes with more of a mauve undertone rather than peach, but I'm really liking the iridescence of this one... and just look at that gorgeous packaging!

That concludes this massive beauty haul for this year's spring and summer! I'm sure you've seen a lot of these already if you follow my recent monthly favorites, so these products have truly been well-loved. Anyway, thanks for stopping by! Next up: another massive fashion haul. Stay tuned!

xoxo,
