Review: Marc Jacobs Beauty Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator

It's been a minute since I last wrote a full review, but the product that finally got me back on track is this brand new cream highlighter by Marc Jacobs, which I was fortunate enough to receive from Influenster. This glow stick has been all the rage in the beauty community lately and I can see exactly why. Keep reading to see for yourself!

About the Product
"A portable cream stick highlighter in a first-ever universal shade for instant dewy payoff.
For the first time ever, Glow Stick Glistening Illuminator imparts a universal glow that flatters all skin tones. The sheer cream luminizer gives skin an unparalleled, mist-like radiance that results from the balanced ratio of pearly gold and silver pigments—allowing both warm and cool complexions to beam with covetable, youthful light. Unlike powder luminizers and highlighters, this fresh-looking cream fuses with the complexion for a healthy-looking sheen."

Packaging

The packaging is quite unique - it sort of looks like a travel-sized deodorant, but I don't even mind because it sure seems like it holds a ton of product. It also has that crisp and classic design that's very much like any Marc Jacobs Beauty product - high-end and professional. The size also makes it very travel-friendly, so it's easy to toss into your makeup bag because it's quite lightweight and compact.

Swatches
As the color says, it's a "universal glow" which I completely agree with because it complements any skin tone. It's exactly up my alley because I'm more into champagne highlights with golden undertones. This gives the most gorgeous natural sheen that can be built up to an intense glow, but I typically use it for everyday wear especially when I'm wearing minimal makeup because this adds such a youthful, flawless touch to my skin. There are little specks of gold that reflect beautifully under any lighting, so if there's any highlight that's perfect for summer, it's this one especially because of its lightweight formula.
These pictures definitely don't do it justice, but if this review was enough to convince you that it truly is worth a try, check it out at Sephora to see for yourself. It's Marc Jacobs so of course it's incredibly pricy, but I'd say it's worth it since you get a lot of product and a little goes a very long way.

Hope this helped! There are tons of swatches on Instagram on different skin tones too, so be sure to check out #MarcGlowStick too see how it looks on all these stunning ladies!

'Til next time!
xoxo,
