The second look that I shot with my friend/photographer Phoebe is quite the epitome of a summer ensemble. It may be fall already, but southern California always seems to favor summer a bit longer so I thought I'd sneak in this effortless OOTD. Read more for details of the look!

On a scorching summer day, I'd typically opt for these kinds of pieces — crop top, high-waisted shorts, bralette, and sandals, topped off with a high ponytail. This top has definitely been one of my favorites of the season because the bold color, floral print, and cut-out detailing are absolutely fitting for the summertime. My photographer certainly picked the right locations to capture this outfit! The effortless ensemble and the mood of the shoot reminded me of classic girl-next-door vibes so I'm glad my photographer went for these charming compositions. As I did with my previous post, I kept my makeup minimal and glowy with emphasis on natural-looking rosy cheeks and lips and feathery straight brows for a more youthful, innocent appearance.
