November/December 2014 Favorites

Here's to my last post of the year. I've got quite a few to show since I skipped last month, so here it goes!

Naked Basics palette - Sephora
I already featured this palette in my March favorites post, but what I've been particularly loving this month is the shade Venus - and not as an eyeshadow but rather a highlighter. I use a small fan brush to lightly dust it on my cheek bones and it gives the most gorgeous iridescent glow! I don't know why I suddenly went back to my obsession with highlighting. Perhaps because my skin's a lot drier in the wintertime, so it's a great way to add some life to my pale complexion.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
I've heard a lot of positive things about this makeup remover, and after using it for the past month, I definitely agree. It only takes one swipe for all my waterproof makeup to be removed, and if you've seen my everyday eye makeup, you'd know that it's some heavy, dark stuff. Another great thing about this is that it doesn't sting my eyes at all like most makeup wipes do, so it makes the removing process a whole lot easier.

Colourpop Lippie Stix in Lumière
I instantly ordered this from Colourpop after watching KathleenLights's announcement on the release of her very own lip color. It just looked so stunning on her that I had to have it for myself! It finally came and I was actually quite disappointed with how it looked on me because it turned out more purple than a brownish red that I was hoping for. However, with some layering using other lip colors, I'm able to achieve the color that I want. The formula is incredibly smooth and creamy and it seriously smells like sugar cookies!
Estēe Lauder Eyeshadow & Blush Palette
I've had this for about 2 years now (that's probably not good), but I only really started using it. My favorite part is the deep mauve blush which is the absolute perfect shade for winter. It's quite pigmented, so a little definitely goes a long way, which probably explains why I haven't hit pan at all.

Ardell Demi lashes
I've been really into falsies lately especially because I've been going to quite a few holiday parties, and let me just say that these are absolutely stunning. They're like the Ardell wispies but a lot more natural-looking and wearable for every day! They give the same fluttery look without being intense and dramatic, so if you think the wispies aren't for you, I highly recommend the demis!

Maybelline FIT Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
If you haven't read my review on this, head over here to find out why this is my new holy grail drugstore foundation. It's such a great everyday base because it's super lightweight yet it provides enough coverage. Plus, it's matte and long-wearing!

Coastal Scents Revealed Palette
I got this palette from this month's Boxycharm package (review here), and I've been using it every day because the shades are absolutely perfect for any event. If you don't want to splurge on any of the Naked palettes, definitely go for this one. I'm also working on an in-depth review on this palette alone, so stay tuned!

Sinful Colors nail polish in Rainstorm
This dark navy blue nail polish is the perfect winter shade, so I've been wearing it quite consistently. I've been a big fan of Sinful Colors's collection because the quality is actually very impressive for such a low price. This is also my favorite shade of blue and it goes with pretty much any winter outfit!

Forever 21 Beanie
Beanies have been my go-to accessories especially on a bad hair day. This one is my current favorite because it's thick and cozy and the ribbed knitting can't be any more winter-appropriate.

I actually got this bag at the very end of the month, but I wanted to include it in this post anyway because that's how much I adore it. The only time I'll ever believe in love at first sight is with fashion, and this is definitely one of those instances. The gorgeous maroon color caught my attention first, but finding out that it can be converted to a backpack was what really sold me. I actually saw the black version on heyclaire's Instagram the next day and was completely stunned because it was more than twice the price that I paid for at TJ Maxx! I'll post a better picture of me wearing this bag and put it up on my Instagram sometime this week, so feel free to follow me there if you haven't already!

Well, it's been quite an eventful year for this blog, and I can't thank you guys enough for all the support. I honestly never thought I'd be able to collaborate with any brands or companies at all - let alone this many, so I owe it all to my readers and followers . I hope you all had an incredible year - here's to an even better one!

'Til next year! ;)
