Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Thanksgiving is just a week from now, so here are a few ideas to dress up for the holiday! Read ahead for some inspiration.
Outfit #1: Peace, Love, Fashion
If you've been on my blog before, you could tell that I've been gravitating towards vintage and street style fashion lately, so this is something I would definitely consider wearing for my Thanksgiving. The key to dressing chic yet comfortable for this occasion is to wear loose, oversized clothing because you'll inevitably be eating a lot! For this outfit, I added thigh high socks to make it a little bit more fall-appropriate. A vintage look can't be complete without oxford heels, so I threw those in here, too. The cute floppy hat is optional, but it adds a boho-chic vibe that goes along with the theme. For makeup, I'd go for a matte wine lip color and earth-toned smokey eyes to match the floral printed dress.

Outfit #2: Prim and Polished

This is a little bit more on the classy side, which is perfect if you're spending Thanksgiving with your family. The classic off-white blouse has a loose fit, but the peach A-line skater skirt tucks it in and gives a nice silhouette, which works on your favor because it'll hide all the good stuff you're gonna eat during the day. Sporting a nude cross body purse would tie this outfit together because it adds more elegance and femininity. You also can't go wrong with strappy sandals with thick heels as it provides a lot of comfort and style at the same time. For makeup, the new Naked 3 palette is absolutely perfect because it has all the rosy, romantic shades that go along with the outfit. For lips, I figured that a soft, coral lip color would complete this effortless, feminine look.

Outfit #3: Easy Going

If you don't want to go all out with your outfit, try donning this casual look. This is pretty much my everyday style and I'd say that it's extremely comfortable. An oversized knit cardigan is a fall staple in my book because it's very cozy yet stylish and versatile. I paired it with some distressed navy high-waisted shorts to add a little rustic vibe along with a worn out, taupe infinity scarf. Maybe even throw on a good old beanie if you live in a place with a much colder autumn than California's. I couldn't decide what boots to choose, so take your pick! Either go for the tan platform ankle booties that will elongate your legs or the taupe knee-high boots that will provide warmth and more comfort, since it is a bare-legged look after all. To go with the warm tones, I think the Naked palette would be great for this look. Since everything is relatively neutral and simple, I'd say go bold with the lips by choosing a taupe or plum lipstick.

Well, I hope you got some inspiration from this post. When in doubt, just go with skinny jeans, boots, and a loose sweater if you're just spending this holiday with an intimate group of family or friends. (:

Have a great Thanksgiving!
xoxo,
