October 2014 Favorites

First off, Happy Halloween! I don't have much to show this month because October seriously just flew by. It hasn't even felt like fall even though it's already half way through the season. Anyway, here are some cult products I've been loving!

Mac Pro Longwear Foundation in NC25
Starting off with yet another foundation, I definitely consider this one a holy grail (finally!). Most people talk about the Pro Long Wear concealer more (which I haven't tried yet), but I'm sure this foundation is just as incredible in many aspects. I don't know if I'll ever write a review though because you'll literally find thousands already from other makeup junkies. Anyway, although this matches my skin tone perfectly (NC25) and it truly lasts all day, I'm on the fence about repurchasing it because of the steep price, so I'm still on the hunt for a less expensive alternative that works just as well.
NYC Liquid Eyeliner in Black
I initially planned on purchasing the Jesse's Girl liquid eyeliner that's supposedly a dupe for Kat von D's, but Rite Aid unfortunately didn't have it, so I settled for an even cheaper one. I surprisingly really like this eyeliner mainly because of the fine brush tip that gives a very precise application. It's also super black and matte which is always a plus for me when it comes to liquid eyeliners.
L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara
I've been really into fluttery eyelashes lately, and this mascara definitely helps me achieve that. It's not exactly holy grail status, but it's certainly the best mascara I have in my makeup collection so far.

Carys Black Ankle Chelsea Boot
If you follow me on Instagram, this one shouldn't be a surprise because I've been wearing it constantly in my OOTDs. I've been looking for booties like these for months, and I finally found them online. What I love about them the most is how extremely comfortable they are to walk in despite the 4-inch heels. You'll see these again in an upcoming (massive) fall haul that I've been working on for the past couple months. I'm just waiting until I accumulate enough new items to show, so I apologize for the lag! The same goes for a collective beauty haul that's been in my drafts for what feels like forever!

Forever 21 Abstract Woven Joggers
These joggers shouldn't be a stranger to you either if you've been on my Instagram page recently (seriously, I update there almost on the daily, so if you ever wonder if I'm still alive due to my lack of blog posts, just check my Instagram!). This pair is quite a unique addition to my closet because of the loose, harem fit and geometric pattern that I've never had the opportunity to style. The fit is also absolutely flattering despite my petite frame.

Boohoo Luisa Devore Paisley Tassel Kimono
Since fall is my all-time favorite season, it motivates me to expand my fashion sense even more by going for quirky pieces that you normally wouldn't see at trendy stores like Forever 21. This kimono instantly grabbed my attention when I first saw it on Alison's Youtube channel, so of course I had to have it in my closet. This is definitely my favorite one in my kimono collection, and that says a lot considering that I couldn't even count how many I own!

90s Tattoo Choker, Waxed Cotton Cord Choker
In addition to gravitating more towards unconventional clothing, this time of the year is also when I start reverting to my pre-teen grungy style, and what's more 90s grunge than chokers? I've been wearing these every single day since I ordered them. I love how they add a slight gothic element to a simple understated outfit. I'm not too big on accessories, but these are quite convenient because they pretty much go with anything. Not to mention they're dirt cheap!

In honor of this "holiday," I decided to throw in one of my favorite shows of all time, American Horror Story. This season might just be my new favorite! It's incredibly twisted as usual and it's probably the only show that can make anyone sympathize with a serial killer clown.

That's all I have to show for this month. It's been a really quick one! I hope you all enjoy Halloween and thanks for stopping by!

xoxo,
